Quaint hotel with a lovely atmosphere. Rooms were old fashioned but spotless. Bathroom was sparkling. Everything you needed was provided in the room including biscuits for your tea. Didn’t eat in the bar but breakfast included was nice. Staff were really lovely. Very central as it’s on the Main Street. Would definitely stay here again. Don’t let the 2 stars put you off.

Emmet Hotel, hotel in Clonakilty

The Emmet is a boutique hotel located on a Georgian Square in the heart of Clonakilty, surrounded by the beaches and coast of the Wild Atlantic Way.

Hotel was absolutely spotless . The beds were exceptional comfortable and also the pillows , the location of the hotel is so handy for everything, the staff were lovely , the added surprise of the library ,the quirkiness of the room with the coloured lockers, the nice wallpaper and the added little extras on the tea tray. I loved that they had an actual key rather then a key card and it felt very personal. When I hung the do not disturb sign on my door I found fresh towels , shampoo , soap and toilet roll outside the door later on . It was a lovely hotel stay overall.

Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa, hotel in Clonakilty

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa has twice been awarded ‘Ireland's Leading Spa Resort’.

Breakfast was 5 star and amazing choice, and the view of the sea great. Also little thoughtful gestures, like chocolates on my pillow before I went to bed, and the invoice discreetly put under door, early morning before I got to check in were appreciated.

I was there to attend a wedding.

I was there to attend a wedding. I did not take a car so I did not see much of Clonakilty itself. I think a car is necessary as it is just outside Clonakilty. I did see the sea and beaches from the taxi and they looked nice.

Great town with lots of pride and several fun cultural experiences. The Clonakilty Black Pudding Visitors Center was great. The Clonakilty Distillery is a great tour and tasting experience. The downtown is cute and walkable. The people are kind and it's central to many great communities nearby.

Fab little town, everything is so close together. Really wished we'd stayed longer & are already planning a return in the Summer. Didn't eat in any of the restaurants as we only ate in the hotel but the menus of many of the eateries looked great!

Lovely quaint old world charm town.

Lovely quaint old world charm town. Very colourful and clean. Great selection of shops and information of things to see and do in the area. Take the train for a tour around the town for all ages. Lovely location as a base for exploring deeper into west Cork or just relaxing in one of the many beaches in the area. If you get the weather there is no place to beat this part of Ireland.

Fun, friendly town, with lots of cute pubs and really good restaurants. Great taxi service, Nial Johnson has electric luxury cars for regular price, really fun. Dinner at Camus with guest chef, Caitlin Ruth was amazing. You don't need a car, bus goes all the way to cork and past Skibbereen.

    Love the town.

Love the town. Lots of nice shops, bars, restaurants, cafés and little markets unique to the town and excellent just to browse around. Lots of little cafés, outdoor seating and well spaced public seats where one can sit and watch the world go by. The locals seem very friendly as do the staff in all the shops we visited. Seem to really take care of their visitors. Town is perfect to stroll around, very clean and brightly well decorated shops. Public toilet centrally located but unfortunately required coins to operate. These days, many people do not carry coins anymore! One way traffic system through the main street area - not too busy but could be nicer if pedestrianised.

Everything was fabulous. Jean Luc and Ina were kind and gracious hosts. The property is beautiful and quiet with private parking and entrance. Coco the dog and the chickens often come to say hi throughout the day. The drive to Clonakilty is about 10 minutes. You're about 70 minutes from Cork, Kinsale, and Cobh which are easy day trips. I cooked dinner each night in the cottage and the facilities were great. Wifi was also strong. Highly recommend this cottage.

The house was gorgeous, modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast items given by the host were great, and a lovely touch. We traveled for a wedding in Dunmore House and the property was a 2 minute drive away so very handy! We were only down for the weekend but got to see Clonakilty and Inchydoney beach as the house was so close to both. It was a lovely relaxing stay and we wish we could have stayed longer.

Hotel is located directly on the coast, located adjacent to a beautiful sandy bay. Our room had superb views along the coast and out towards the ocean. Our room and much of the hotel had clearly just been decorated so everything seemed fresh, clean and new. Breakfasts and evening meals were very good, with a good choice and very attentive staff. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

As a first time visitor, it was a delight to find the hotel after a day rambling around West Cork. From the lovely receptionists to greet us, to discovering the beautiful gardens and then to enjoying the high quality food, it was first class all the way . One of the best hotels I have stayed in, either in Ireland or abroad.

Really loved how they have decorated the pods and the outside area, so cute! Great facilities in the pod, its more like a mini apartment with a little kitchenette and a good size private bathroom. Bed was comfy and there was a nice area to sit outside as well. Lovely warm welcome from the host too!

I went there to escape from “normal life” very nice spot, 8 mins from Clonakilty centre. Paula is lovely and helpful. The pod is really great if you want something different from a room in a hotel, there is everything you need (shower, microwave, sink, some plates and mugs ect. )

It is more of a hotel than a bed-and-breakfast, although breakfast was included. The food was good. It’s a bar and restaurant downstairs that seems to have a great lunch and dinners too, although we didn’t get a chance to try them.
